Nine - The Musical

April 27, May 3, 4 & 10 at 2:00 PM "Nine" is a musical inspired by Federico Fellini's film "8 1/2" and revolves around the life of renowned Italian filmmaker Guido Contini. As he struggles with a creative block while attempting to direct his latest film, Guido finds himself caught between the various women in his life, including his wife, his muse, his mistress, and his mother.
Set in 1960s Italy, the story unfolds through a series of flashbacks and musical numbers, revealing Guido's relationships, desires, and inner conflicts. Each woman represents a different facet of his life and identity, challenging him to confront his fears and insecurities. As Guido navigates his artistic dilemmas and personal turmoil, the musical explores themes of love, betrayal, and the quest for self-discovery. With its lush score and rich character dynamics, "Nine" ultimately reflects on the complexities of creativity and the pursuit of authenticity in both art and life. |

June 1, 8 & 14 at 2:00 PM "Picasso at the Lapin Agile" is a comedic play by Steve Martin set in a Parisian bar in 1904, where iconic figures like Pablo Picasso and Albert Einstein cross paths. The story unfolds in the whimsical atmosphere of the Lapin Agile, a lively cabaret frequented by artists and intellectuals. As they engage in witty banter, philosophical debates, and playful competitions, the two geniuses ponder the nature of creativity, fame, and the future.
The play explores themes of artistic ambition, the clash of ideas, and the fleeting nature of genius, all while blending humor with thought-provoking dialogue. Witness for the Prosecution

September 21, 27, 28 & October 4 at 2:00 PM "Witness for the Prosecution," a courtroom drama by Agatha Christie, follows the trial of Leonard Vole, a young man accused of murdering a wealthy widow, Emily French, who had left him her fortune. The play unfolds in a tense courtroom setting, where the evidence against Leonard seems overwhelming, particularly due to the testimony of his wife, Romaine, who appears to be his alibi but has her own secrets.
As the trial progresses, twists and turns reveal the complexities of the case, with surprising revelations about the characters’ motives and relationships. The play examines themes of justice, morality, and deception, leaving the audience questioning the truth behind each witness’s testimony. The masterful plot twists and Christie's signature suspense build to a gripping climax, challenging perceptions of guilt and innocence. Shrek the Musical

November 9, 15, 16, 22 & 23 at 2:00 PM * Note times are different than the rest of the T&C season "Shrek the Musical" is a vibrant and comedic adaptation of the beloved animated film. The story follows Shrek, a grumpy ogre who values his solitude in a swamp. His life is turned upside down when fairy tale creatures are banished to his home by the evil Lord Farquaad. To reclaim his swamp, Shrek makes a deal with Farquaad: he will rescue Princess Fiona, who is locked in a tower, in exchange for the return of his peaceful life.
Joined by Donkey, a talkative and optimistic sidekick, Shrek embarks on the adventure. As they journey to rescue Fiona, they encounter various fairy tale characters and face unexpected challenges. However, Fiona harbors a secret of her own that complicates everything. The musical explores themes of acceptance, self-discovery, and the idea that true beauty lies within. Through catchy songs and heartfelt moments, "Shrek the Musical" delivers a message about love, friendship, and embracing one’s individuality, all wrapped in humor and whimsical charm. |

A Ringing of Doorbells
by Thornton Wilder Directed by Caity Logan ABOUT THE SHOW A mother-daughter team of con-artists are putting the touch on the widows of military brass. Mrs. McCullem, housekeep for the wonderfully regal but now wheel chair-bound widow of General Beattie, recognizes them in the drug store–having witnessed the two pull their game on her previous employer–and overhears them asking directions to the Beattie home! The play begins as she rushes back to warn Mrs. Beattie of the impending danger. Sure enough, the doorbell rings and our charlatans appear with quite a story. But instead of throwing them out or turning them over to the police, the widow Beattie allows the game to be played. Foreplay, or the Art of the Fugue

The Worker
by Walter Wykes Directed by Paul Pride ABOUT THE SHOW In this dark comedy a MAN and WOMAN are forced to face hard truths about the current state of their relationship. The WOMAN, a homemaker, finds herself desiring a child more than anything in the world, in order to cope with the loneliness of her husband's long work hours. The line between reality and fantasy becomes blurry as the WOMAN becomes increasingly close to a doll, whom she treats as her own child. The MAN makes his best attempts to provide for his family but, over-exerts himself day in and day out for a company that could care less if he lives or dies. His all-consuming desire to fulfill his patriarchal duties creates a rift in their marital bond and even threatens his safety. The two battle their own insecurities, desperation, and manic episodes, as they attempt to save what is truly important to them. Wanda's Visit
by Christopher Durang Directed by Matthew Moore ABOUT THE SHOW Wanda’s Visit is a darkly comedic play that follows Jim and Marsha, a married couple stuck in routine after 13 years of marriage, as their lives are thrown into chaos by the arrival of Wanda, Jim’s eccentric and overly dramatic ex-girlfriend from High School. Wanda’s unfiltered behavior and chaotic energy disrupt the couple’s mundane life, forcing them to confront their own relationship’s cracks. A sharp and witty exploration of nostalgia, leading to a series of unexpected revelations about love and relationships. |

Join us for our 2025 holiday production: A Holiday Cabaret Enjoy a cabaret-style concert featuring a fantastic cast of seasoned Town and Country favorites, plus some wonderful new talents singing the songs you know and love, and a few surprises too! We are thrilled to be performing again in the spectacular Edgar N. Putman Pavilion at the Michener Museum in Doylestown, PA. Each concert ticket includes admission to the museum, so come for the music, and stay to enjoy the galleries! Come early and explore the museum before the show or after the afternoon show. * This production will offer American Sign Language Interpreters on Friday, December 19 at 7:30 PM. If you require seating near the interpreters, please email TandCBox@gmail.com or call 215-348-7566 after ordering your ticket(s) to inform our box office manager of how many will be in your party, so we can ensure adequate seating is made available.
