New this year!
Town and Country presents: A Workshop Series
Come and learn the various layers of theater, and see what goes into the making of a show from beginning to end. Each workshop is led by experienced members of T&C and will deliver a curriculum that is designed to educate and cultivate interest and excitement in the production of a show. Join us and see what it’s all about!

Snacks will be provided for all workshops.

Workshops this year will included A Workshop for Producers; Actor's Workshop; Stage Management Workshop; Lighting Technician/Design Workshop; Stage Combat Workshop and Set Construction.

Some possible future workshops include Scenic Design and Construction; Directing; Acting I & II; and Auditioning Techniques.

Producer's Workshop

***THIS IS MANDATORY FOR ANYONE PRODUCING AT T&C THIS YEAR**

Ever wonder what goes into the creation of a show? How does one get made? Who is this ‘producer’ and what do they do? Now all of these questions can be answered, and you can learn how to do it! Designed with both those new to producing and those who have produced for T&C in the past, join us for an informative workshop that introduces you to all the different hats a producer can wear. A producers’ role is vital to the show. Without them, the show may not go on as planned. If you’re detail oriented, task focused, and work best in a cooperative environment, this could be the role for you! Register now for a four hour informative and hands on workshop introducing you to this extremely important role in the theater. Designed for adults, 18 and up.

Acting 101: How to get the Part You Want

This is a new installment in our Winter Workshop Series! A highly requested topic, this workshop will focus on improving your audition skills. From cold reads to improv exercises, you'll get a hands on feel for the process. This is appropriate for beginner to intermediate level.

This workshop has two sessions available:
10am - 12:30pm for youth, ages 10 through 16
2 - 5pm for ages 17 and up


Seating is extremely limited -- only 12 seats available per session.

Lighting and Tech Design Workshop

Learn what it takes to run lights. This course focuses on the ins and outs of being a lighting technician and will touch on the basics of light and design. Designed for adults, 18 and up.

Stage Management Workshop

***THIS IS MANDATORY FOR ANYONE STAGE MANAGING AT T&C THIS YEAR**

In this course, you will learn the ins and outs of stage managing. From taking notes, to calling a show -- this course gives you a true feel for the job.

By far, the stage manager’s role in the production of a show is the most hands on. A stage manager must be organized, involved in the process from beginning to end, and able to manage large groups of people with a variety of personalities. A stage manager is in the thick of things and often times, it is up to them to get the show going. If a crisis happens, the stage manager is the first responder. It’s a fast paced and tough, and let’s not forget intense – definitely not for the faint of heart. Peaked your interest? Then this workshop is definitely for you! Come join us for an informative and hands-on session where we delve into the role of the stage manager from beginning to end, and all the fun in between! Designed for teens and adults, 16 and up.
Class size open to 15 participants.

The Great Sound Experience
